Dolby Atmos/Dolby Surround Upmixing
The VSX-534 is compatible with the 3.1.2 channel configuration of the latest cinema audio platform, Dolby Atmos. You can reproduce object-oriented sound with smooth, curved movements or the realistic 3D movement over the top speakers. Other audio codecs such as PCM and DSD can be mixed using Dolby Surround to enjoy 3D surround sound.
DTS:X/DTS Neural:X Upmixing
DTS:X is the next-generation audio codec from DTS that leverages object-based audio to enable new immersive and interactive audio experiences. Since DTS:X can automatically adapt the sound to the existing channels and speaker system, no specific speaker arrangement is required. Experience an immersive soundscape with incredibly rich and vivid sound. Other audio codecs such as PCM and DSD can be mixed using DTS Neural:X to enjoy 3D surround sound.
Dolby Atmos height virtualization
When playing any Dolby format, enabling the Dolby Atmos height Virtualizer enables a more immersive listening experience, creating a virtual surround and height effect from traditional speaker layouts without the use of additional surround or height speakers.
DTS Virtual:X
With DTS Virtual:X, you can enjoy immersive 3D sound similar to DTS:X without the need for height or rear speakers. The technology supports a 2 to 7.1.4 channel input source, for delivery to a 2 to 5.1 channel speaker array. DTS Virtual:X works with all DTS codecs, including DTS:X.
The next generation video standard is ready
The VSX-534 supports pass-through signals for HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and Dolby Vision. By connecting a compatible source device, you can enjoy these latest video standards on a compatible display. In addition, all HDMI terminals support 4K (60p/4:4:4/24-bit), Wide Color Gamut (BT.2020) and HDCP 2.2, so you won't have any problem when upgrading to new devices, and you can also enjoy high-quality content such as 4K videos with digital copy protection.
MCACC automatic room adjustment
Create the optimal acoustic environment with Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with the expertise of professional recording studios. With the custom microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level and distance and equalizes the response.
Zone B output for wireless headphones
The VSX-534 is equipped with Band B audio output jacks to extend the main band sound by connecting your wireless headphone base. You can hear the sound playing in the living room through wireless headphones.
Built-in Bluetooth wireless technology
Stream songs from compatible devices with built-in Bluetooth wireless technology (version 4.2 + LE). The VSX-534 features A2DP/AVRCP profiles, with SBC/AAC codec support. By pressing the Bluetooth button on the front panel, you can start the BT function directly, even when the unit is in standby.
Personal preference
Simply press the Personal Preset button on the front panel for three seconds and your current settings such as volume level and listening mode can be saved. You can register up to three presets and call them up easily from the front panel button or remote control.
Improved dialogue
With this unique mid-range audio control feature, you can make independent volume adjustments across the range, including movie dialogue, with the up/down button on the remote.
On-screen information about audio/video status
The screen now shows detailed input and output information for the playback content. So you can see if your video is output from Dolby Vision or if the movie is processed with Dolby Atmos or DTS:X audio.
