Pioneer DJ presents the DDJ-FLX4, a versatile DJ controller for beginners and advanced DJs and the direct successor of the legendary DDJ-400. The Pioneer DJ – DDJ-FLX4 is already unlocked for the rekordbox DJ performance mode and Serato DJ Lite (upgrade to Serato Pro is chargeable!) and allows the use of streaming services such as TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming and SoundCloud Go+, which however requires a subscription to the respective provider! The layout is oriented, as usual from Pioneer, to the club standard and the controls are intuitively arranged, so that professionals, advanced and beginners alike can find their way around, while the latter, even without prior knowledge, are taken by the hand through numerous DJ tutorials and two new Smart Mixing functions from Pioneer and quickly find their way in the world of DJing. For example, the “Smart Fader” function, once activated, takes care of adjusting the speed of two pieces of music when a channel fader or the crossfader is moved, as well as cancelling out overlapping frequencies, allowing for cross-genre transitions with significant tempo differences. In addition, the “Smart CFX” function allows music to be changed to suit individual tastes at the touch of a button. With the new rekordbox DJ version scheduled for release in early 2023 for smartphones and tablets, the Pioneer DJ – DDJ-FLX4 can also be used with Apple iOS and Android devices in the future. All these features make the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 the perfect gift for junior DJs!

Jogwheels

Jogwheels are, next to the mixer and effect functions, the most important control element of a DJ controller. The jog wheels on the DDJ-FLX4 are ergonomically designed to provide a secure feel and simulate what a DJ does with vinyl or CDs, for example, finding the right playback position in a piece of music and playing the song from that position.

Performance Pads

The performance pads control essential functions in the software. In the DDJ-FLX4, there are 8 pads for each function , which can be used for hot cues, pad FX, beat jump, samples, keyboard, loops and pitch changing options. So special passages in the music can be creatively changed, extended or alienated to your own taste.

Beat FX

The “Beat FX” are indispensable tools on the DDJ-FLX4 because echoes, delays and modulating effects always synchronize in the right timing on music analyzed with the rekordbox DJ software. This allows DJs to spend more time selecting music and only need to make sure that the effect quantization is set according to their preferences.

Smart CFX / Smart Fader

Smart CFX lets users put their own stamp on any song by simply turning a knob to apply a combination of effects that adds a special touch to the sound. The “Smart Fader” option activates the adjustment of the tempo of two pieces of music, when moving a channel fader or the crossfader and takes over the cancellation of overlapping frequencies.
